On a single part is a detailed map at 1:110, 000 associated with the Cusco area, with altitude colouring, contours at 100m intervals and plenty of names of varied topographic features eg hill ranges, peaks, etc. The map reveals surfaced and dirt roads, plus regional mountain tracks. Railway outlines tend to be shown with programs. Symbols suggest locations with tourist accommodation, campsites and archaeological websites. Coverage expands over the Rio Urubamba beyond Machu Picchu to Santa Teresa, and south-eat to Yaurisque and Oropesa. The list details Inca damages and larger towns.
an enhancement at 1:50, 000 shows the area amongst the Km 84 railway station - the coach drop point and Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes. Contour outlines listed here are at 200m periods. The chart highlights the Inca Trail, the trekking path over the Rio Urubamba, camping web sites and archaeological remains, and programs regional railway stops. Neither the main map nor the Inca Trail enhancement has actually geographic coordinates.
In addition provided is a large, clear street pan of Cusco indicating selected tourist accommodation as well as other attractions, a tiny program of Aguas Calientes, an idea of the damages at Machu Picchu, plus a map of railway connections in southern Peru.
Regarding the reverse is an indexed roadway chart of southern Peru at 1:1, 500, 000 extending north to include nearly all of Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Hyahuash. A large inset provides a street plan of central Lima highlighting locations of chosen accommodation and embassies, places of interest, etc.
