Smart Traveler Enrollment System (STEP)
We encourage one to subscribe to the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) -formerly called "Travel Registration" or "Registration with Embassies"- if you are traveling to or located in Peru, therefore we can better serve you, particularly in situation of an urgent situation or tragedy. The ACS product posts all emergency, safety, routine, and demonstration emails on our Travel Information and communications page.

How to Make an Appointment
To better provide our U.S. resident community in Peru, the U.S. Embassy's American Citizen providers product needs that most U.S. people schedule a scheduled appointment. Kindly check out the menu regarding the remaining for demands and information about how to set up an appointment for every style of service.
Before showing up, you have to read the Embassy’s accessibility and restricted products policy. Safety employees won't enable U.S. citizen people with prohibited what to enter the Embassy, despite a scheduled appointment.
Take note that:
- Entry will not be allowed to your ACS device without a scheduled appointment.
- Non-renewal of your passport in a timely manner does not constitute an emergency.
